The The Smith Chart Circles Toolbox 2 is a MATLAB toolbox that allows the user to plot a number of useful points and circles of interest on the Smith Chart. It also includes a design project example of a 6GHz LNA.
As part of the design of a 6GHz LNA I needed to do some calculations to optimize and balance the noise figure, VSWR, and other parameters of the design. I also wanted to make figures that would be presentable in the final report. So I started to look and see if there were any good smith chart toolboxes on the MATLAB file exchange and found The Smith Chart Circles Toolbox. I then expanded the toolbox to include additional functionality including the ability to plot specific points of interest on the Smith Chart and some functions to calculate a variety of important parameters. I then released a new version of the Toolbox on the MATLAB file exchange as The Smith Chart Circles Toolbox 2.
