I was a community adviser in Wallace Hall from the fall 2009 semester to the spring 2010 semester. As a community adviser I was responsible for two floors that made a community of around sixty residents. In my position as a community adviser I lived on the floor along with my residents and acted as a resource for my residents. I arranged weekly meetings to handle floor business and to help plan floor events. I helped coordinate hall wide events for the population of 400 residents along with the rest of the CA staff. These events included a “pie your CA” event, gym clean-up day and day of community service. Also, I was responsible for the coordination of the community gym. I made great connections with my residents and feel I made a big impact in a number of their lives.
